Touring skis balance two things: low weight for the climb and enough width and stability for the descent. For most touring in the Alps, a waist width between 84 and 98 mm is a good all-round choice. Narrower skis are lighter and faster uphill, wider skis float better in deep snow. Ask us if you are unsure which length or width to choose.
