These terms apply to purchases in the online shop at ski-touring.com (Part A) and to bookings of guided ski tours (Part B). The contract language is English. Please read them before you order or book.

Part A – Online shop

1. Ordering and the contract

Choose a product (and size or colour where needed), add it to the cart and go to the checkout. Enter your details (an account is optional), choose delivery and payment and confirm with the “Place order” button. Before you confirm, the checkout shows all items, the total price with VAT and the delivery costs, and you can correct any input errors in the cart or at checkout. By placing the order you confirm that the order involves an obligation to pay.

You will receive an email confirming that we have received your order. We then check stock and either confirm or decline the order, giving a reason. The sales contract is concluded when we confirm the order. The contract and invoice are stored electronically and are available in My account.

2. Prices and payment

All prices are in euros and include VAT. Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you place the order. If a price is clearly wrong, we will contact you; you can cancel the order or we agree on another solution. We do not charge any fee for the payment method you choose.

  • Credit or debit card – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners or Maestro, paid securely at checkout through Braintree (a PayPal service). We do not see or store your card details.
  • PayPal – paid at checkout with your PayPal account.
  • Bank transfer – pay to IBAN SI56 0400 1005 0185 849 (Durango d.o.o., Nova KBM d.d., BIC KBMASI2X), with your order number as the payment reference. We ship once the payment arrives.
  • Cash on delivery – pay in cash to the GLS courier. Available for delivery in Slovenia only.

3. Delivery

We ship with GLS from Kranj, or you can collect your order in our shop in Kranj free of charge. Prices, delivery areas and conditions are on the Shipping and delivery page. Unless agreed otherwise, we deliver within 30 days of the order. Orders that have not yet been shipped can be cancelled free of charge by email.

4. Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party named by you other than the carrier, take physical possession of the goods (for several goods ordered together and delivered separately, of the last item).

To exercise the right of withdrawal, inform us – Durango d.o.o., Partizanska 18, 4000 Kranj, Slovenia, info@ski-touring.com, +386 51 668 599 – with a clear statement (for example by email or post). You may use the model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory. It is enough to send your notice before the period expires.

Effects of withdrawal. We refund all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except extra costs if you chose a delivery method more expensive than the cheapest standard delivery we offer), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your notice. We use the same means of payment as in your original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise; you will not incur any fees for the refund. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them, whichever is earlier.

Send back the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you informed us, to Durango d.o.o., Partizanska 18, 4000 Kranj, Slovenia, or bring them to our shop. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, and to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

5. Liability for defects (legal guarantee)

We are liable for any lack of conformity of the goods that exists at delivery and becomes apparent within two years of delivery. A lack of conformity that becomes apparent within one year of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery. Please inform us of the defect within two months of discovering it, describe it and allow us to inspect the item.

You can ask us to bring the goods into conformity (repair or replacement) free of charge; if this is not possible, not done within a reasonable time (at most 30 days) or the defect is serious, you can ask for a proportionate price reduction or terminate the contract and get a refund. We reply to every claim within 8 days. These rights apply regardless of any manufacturer guarantee.

If a parcel arrives damaged, opened or incomplete, please note this with the GLS courier and tell us; we will settle the matter with GLS.

6. Manufacturer guarantee

Where a product comes with a manufacturer guarantee, its terms are stated on the guarantee card; the guarantor is the manufacturer named there. You can claim under the guarantee directly with the manufacturer or its service centre, or through us. A guarantee does not limit your legal rights under section 5.

Part B – Guided ski tours

7. Organiser and package travel

Guided ski tours are organised by Durango d.o.o. When a tour combines guiding with accommodation and/or transport, it is a package travel contract and you have all the rights that apply to packages under the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act and EU Directive 2015/2302. Durango d.o.o. is fully responsible for the proper performance of all travel services included in the contract. Before you book, we give you the standard information form for package travel and the details of the tour (itinerary, accommodation, meals, group size, level, price and what is included).

Durango d.o.o. has protection in case of insolvency, as required by law. If services are not performed because of our insolvency, you will be refunded and, where transport is included, repatriated. Details of the insolvency protection provider are given in the booking confirmation and are available on request.

Tours that consist only of guiding, without accommodation or transport, are not packages; the cancellation rules below apply to them as well.

8. Booking and payment

You can book with the enquiry form on each tour page, by email or through our contact page. We confirm availability and send the booking confirmation with the tour details. The contract is concluded when you pay the deposit of 30% of the tour price. The balance is due 7 days before the start of the tour. Payment by bank transfer, card or PayPal, without extra fees.

Because tours are leisure services on specific dates, the 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply to tour bookings; your cancellation rights are set out in section 10.

9. Changes to price and programme

After booking, we may only increase the price because of changes in transport fuel costs, taxes or fees, or exchange rates, and only if we inform you at least 20 days before the start. If the increase exceeds 8% of the total price, you can accept it or cancel free of charge. You are entitled to a price reduction if these costs decrease.

In the mountains the guide adapts the daily route to snow, weather and the group; such changes are part of the tour and are not a change of the contract. If we have to change an essential part of the tour before departure, we will tell you, and you can accept the change or cancel without a fee and get a full refund.

10. Cancellation by you

You can cancel the tour at any time before it starts, by email or in writing. In that case we charge a cancellation fee:

  • more than 30 days before the start: 50% of the tour price;
  • 30 days or less before the start: 100% of the tour price.

You can cancel without any fee if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at the destination or in its immediate vicinity (for example a natural disaster, war or an official travel ban) significantly affect the tour. You may also transfer your booking to another person who meets the tour requirements, if you tell us at least 7 days before the start; you and that person are jointly liable for the balance and any actual extra costs. We recommend trip cancellation insurance.

11. Cancellation by us

We may cancel a tour if the minimum number of participants stated in the tour details is not reached, by telling you no later than 20 days before the start (7 days for tours of 2–6 days, 48 hours for tours shorter than 2 days), or if we are prevented by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. In these cases we refund everything you have paid within 14 days, without further compensation. Bad weather or snow conditions on individual days are part of a mountain tour; the guide then chooses an alternative route or activity.

12. Safety, insurance and your responsibilities

Ski touring is a mountain sport with natural risks such as avalanches, changing weather and difficult snow. You must be fit and experienced enough for the level stated, have the required equipment, follow the guide’s instructions and tell us about any health issues relevant to the tour. The guide may exclude a participant from a day’s tour if their safety or the safety of the group is at risk. You must have travel insurance that covers ski touring and mountain rescue.

13. Problems during the tour and liability

If something is not performed as agreed, tell the guide or us immediately, so we can put it right on the spot. If it cannot be fixed, you are entitled to a price reduction and, where applicable, compensation. Please also send any complaint in writing within a reasonable time, ideally within 10 days of the end of the tour. If you are in difficulty during the tour, we will give you assistance.

We are liable for damage caused by improper performance of the services, except where it is caused by you, by a third party unconnected with the services, or by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. Except for personal injury and damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, our liability is limited to three times the total tour price. We are not liable for loss of or damage to personal belongings unless caused by us.

Part C – General

14. Complaints and disputes

Send complaints by email to info@ski-touring.com or by post to the address above. We confirm receipt within 5 working days, tell you how long we will need, and keep you informed. Durango d.o.o. does not recognise any provider of out-of-court consumer dispute resolution as competent for disputes with consumers. Slovenian law applies and disputes are decided by the competent court in Kranj, without limiting the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

15. Personal data and codes of conduct

We process your personal data as described in our Privacy policy. We have not signed up to any code of conduct.

Valid from 23 October 2026.
