The tours are mostly unmarked and run without extreme ascents and descents. We will sleep in a local guesthouse. We will have to take care of the food ourselves. For all who want active winter relaxation in the middle of an idyllic landscape, far away from everyday worries, crowds, and technology. This is an ideal location in the unspoiled north of Iceland.

Just below the Arctic Circle lies Iceland’s longest fjord, Eyjafjörður, and the capital of northern Iceland, Akureyri. Our starting point is a little further north in the village of Dalvik. Surrounded by peaks between 1200 and 1500m, the entire Eyjafjörður fjord area offers ideal slopes for touring. The entire tour will be attended by a trained mountain guide with excellent knowledge of local snow conditions. The combination of our organization and a local expert is a guarantee for excellent skiing that will be both safe and fun. We will ski most of the time in the western part of the fjord.

Slopes and mountains or. the hills offer unforgettable views of the Atlantic Ocean and the fjord. The views are just surreal !. The high northern slopes, however, ensure that the possibility of skiing does not run out even in late spring. Take the opportunity and earn a meander along the slopes of the Icelandic peaks, an afternoon of relaxation in the local springs, which at times are more reminiscent of a real spa.
